Nabla are pleased to announce the release OpenFOAM version 2.3. The new version features:

New solvers
Interface capturing multiphase flow with LES and RAS turbulence modelling; buoyancy driven flows; compressible flows; and, engines.
Improved numerics
Advanced discretisation for poor quality meshes; efficient, robust, parallelised, zero-loss particle tracking; improved discretisation for interface tracking.
Mesh generation and manipulation
Extensive toolkit for analysing, merging, splitting and scaling meshes and manipulating boundary patches.
Surface handling
New toolkit for manipulating surface descriptions in AC3D, GTS, Lightwave OBJ, OFF, STL, STL-binary and TRI formats.
Post-processing
New powerful visualisation tools including reader module for ParaView , and data converter for other VTK -based graphics tools such as VisIt ; polyhedral cell support has been incorporated into the readers for EnSight and Fieldview.
